no stress distress
Typically, especially in the summer months, you can catch me in a t-shirt and some semblance of a bottom. For myself and many New Yorkers, it is an easy way to navigate around the city. Minimalistic, non-chalant about the sweat, and still moderately chic. I'm not going to get into any philosophical vibes about the importance of a white tee; that will come in a later post, lol. For now, enjoy these shots of me in a quintessential summer garment: the white tee.

For the distressed denim, these are a pair of BDG jeans in a slim-straight fit. I got them in 2008 at Urban Outfitters for like, $10. One thing you'll learn about me from the site is how to mix your high & low-end items and how to make them affective. I was just about over these jeans when I realized I hadn't found a distressed denim for the season. This was years ago. I pulled out my scissors and began to repurpose! I cut them myself and washed to get the fraying [I definitely will do a distressed denim tutorial soon]. Over the past few years, they have really worn in- holes have gotten more prominent, crotch patched, etc. They have become one of my go to summer essentials. You always need a distressed jean on-hand.
